The goal of these pages is to help you set up your Linux system to emulate the look and feel of other Operating Systems, by combining different WindowManagers with different Gnome themes and special programs.
These pages are just beeing started (21.february 1999) so please give me some time to get them to a truly usable level. When I am done you will find example config files, special icons, skins and programs here.
| This is a screenshot of my machine running
WindowMaker, using the GtkStep theme. The latest version of GtkStep can be downloaded from this site. There is also a version bundled with the newest version of GNOME. The programs you see running is IglooFtp, X11amp 0.9, Gimp and Grip. Here is the NeXTAmp Skin for X11Amp. |

| Here is an example using Mlvwm and Gnome with the MacOS8 theme, which is available with GNOME. Mlvwm gives you the most realistic Mac feel, but it is not GNOME compliant at all. If you want a Mac look, you can also try the fvwm2gnome wm with its Mac theme. Here is the MacAmp Skin for X11Amp. | |
| Here is an example using Qvwm and Gnome with the Redmond95 theme. |
